INTJ: How to stop worrying

In short

Don't worry about potential future problems unless you're willing to identify and address specific concerns.  There's no point in general anxiety; either proactively solve the problem or don't worry about it at all. This proactive approach—setting clear mental rules—can significantly reduce anxiety and improve your life.

Why does it work for INTJ

An INTJ's tertiary Introverted Feeling (Fi) often leads to reactive, rather than proactive, emotional responses.  Because their feelings are linked to their beliefs (Te) and future projections (Ni),  INTJs can improve their emotional state by proactively gathering specific information (Te) to positively influence their Ni-based projections.  Essentially, knowledge is the first step to improvement. Alternatively, accepting that some things are unknowable (Ni's limitations) can lead to a acceptance and trust in a positive outcome. This mental rules can help a lot in developing a healthy mind for INTJs.

Exercise:

  1. Identify one future concern.
  2. Decide whether you want to address this concern specifically or let it go.
  3. If you choose to let it go, release it mentally (e.g., through mindful breathing).
  4. If you choose to address it, visualize the concern in detail. Then brainstorm solutions. If you need help, use an AI chatbot or other resources. Schedule time to implement your chosen solution(s).
